Personality
"One of the brightest students of recent times..."
—Professor Crumbs
Justin is one of the most intelligent and posses vast knowledge, both of magical things, such as spellcraft and magical creatures, but also mathematics, history, robotic and geography. He's capable of built robots, water motors and mechanisms that simulate a flying carpet. His own knowledge makes him the chosen by his family to solve problems, like found excuses to hide magical affairs to protect magic from exposure.
Justin is labeled by his own family to be kind and generous but also has a vengeful and naive side. He strongly believes in aliens and that the language spoken by the Alien Language Club is actual alien and not make 'em up. He's also sometimes self-centered and likes to be the center of attention, being sometimes deceived when he's praised.
Abilities
Above average intelligence: In many episodes it's shown that Justin knows many things, his knowledge includes but isn't limited to, history, science, mathamatics and general knowledge. In "Alex's Brother, Maximan" he builds a working robot out of house hold items, in "Franken Girl" he combines magic and science to build a frankenstein like robot.
Hand-to-hand combat: As shown in "Wizards vs. Werewolves" he is quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat, being able to hold on his own aganist a werewolf for a short time, and seeing as werewolf's are stronger, faster and more agile than humans by an impressive margin, it is something to be impressed by. Although in a earlier story Alex laughed at the idea of him getting in a fight, so it's possible he only recently learned how to fight possibly, because of his monster catcher training. He also holds his own during the gang fight in "Western Show", further demonstrating his combat abilities.
Spells Expert: Justin is also a expert on spells, he seems to know on, for any occasion, IE, jumping off a cliff, sinking spells, he however isn't as good as his sister at make-ups. He also knows about spell locks.
Magic Expert: Justin knows a lot on magic of all kinds, IE, charms, potions, curses etc. Although magic doesn't come natually to him he studies so much it makes up for it.
Marksmanship: As shown in "Wizard For A Day" Justin has crack shot.
Relationships
Alex Russo
The relationship between Alex and Justin is somewhat one of the closest relationships in the series. Alex and Justin are really close siblings, closer than the relationships with Max. Alex always confides in Justin, and when in a problem she turns to him, to help her undo a spell that went wrong. Justin has also shown to be caring and overprotective over Alex, such as in Wizards vs. Werewolves where he protects his sister from Mason.
Kari Landsdorf
Justin had a crush on Kari in "The Supernatural" and took Alex's advice of using magic to get on the baseball team because she only dates baseball players. She started to like him, too, after he got on the team and started supporting him. He asks her out and she tells him she only watches films about cats. He finds this too weird and doesn't call her.
Millie
In "New Employee" Justin had a crush on Millie, the new Sub Station employee. Justin asked her to the Tears of Blood concert and she took the tickets. When he went to her apartment he discovered she was going to the concert with her boyfriend whilst he was meant to babysit her cousin.
Isabella
In "Beware Wolf" Justin goes on a date with a girl he meets online on WizFace. He starts falling for her but Alex tells him that Isabella is a werewolf and she tells him that she is. Justin says he doesn't care and kisses her, but she says that once you kiss a werewolf you become one. He turns into a werewolf and they run away together but Justin's family find him and give him a potion to reverse the werewolf spell.
Centaur Girl
Centaur Girl
In "Beware Wolf" it's mentioned that Justin once asked a girl on WizFace to prom but she turned out to be a centaur. He later calls her back and she wishes he would give her a second chance but he finds it too weird.
Daphne
In "Family Game Night" she develops feelings for him and believes he's her boyfriend, tricking him into saying they're dating. Justin tries to break up with Daphne by bringing her to Family Game Night and prompting his family into causing their usual chaos. After a while Daphne has enough and flees, telling Justin not to bring girls home.
Tutor
Tutor was Max's wizard tutor seen in "My Tutor, Tutor." She and Justin date for a bit up until she has to move on to her next student, in which he later finds out she's a elf, which is why he was so drawn to her. He found it odd that she was good friends with Alex.
London Tipton
Justin met London in the crossover after Justin wins a trip on the S.S. Tipton for an essay he wrote. Justin tries to impress her by pretending to be a doctor, and they go out. When Bailey starts choking, London dumps Justin, still thinking he's a doctor, for not helping her. Justin hypothetically asks her if she would still like him if he was who he really is, which London thinks he is referring to Justin Russo, whom she believes just looks like "Doctor" and she decides to ask out Justin.
Juliet Van Heusen
Justin-juliet
Justin and Juliet
In Wizards vs. Vampires On Waverly Place, when trying to get information about the Van Heusens' new sandwich shop he meets Juliet whom he discovers is a vampire. They go on a date during Justin's twenty-five minute break just to see the trailers at the cinema and have a large popcorn. They fall in love but their parents don't accept them because of their rivalry in business. In the end the Russos and Van Heusens accept it reasonably so their children can be happy. Soon enough, Justin gets the job of monster hunting and embarks on a journey with Juliet to capture a mummy. They then get trapped and, to save Juliet from sunlight, he tells her to become a minion to escape while she leaves him behind. He promises he will find her. In "Wizards vs Werewolves" Justin tracks down Juliet, with the help of Mason, Alex's new werewolf boyfriend. After saving her, it is revealed that Mason and Juliet were a couple three hundred years ago. Mason declares his ongoing love for Juliet, causing Alex to break up with him. Later, Mason tries to convince Alex that he truly loves her, not Juliet, with the help of the love necklace which Alex threw away. Justin, Juliet, and Max pursue them and Justin refuses to let Mason near Alex which resulted in Mason fighting Justin to get Alex. Juliet attacks Mason to save Justin and in their fight, Juliet bites Mason and Mason scratches Juliet. This reveals that when a werewolf scratches a vampire, the vampire loses their vampire powers. Juliet reveals her real age of 2,193 years and becomes an old lady, telling Justin that even though he loves her they can't be together, and she crawls away into the forest. In "Moving On" Juliet observes as Justin finally forgets about her. In "Wizards vs. Everything" it's revealed that Gorog took Juliet back to her usual self and uses her to get Justin to work with him and not against him. After Justin, Alex, and Max destroy Gorog, Juliet and Justin reunite. In the finale Juliet attends the family wizard competition and cheers for Justin to win. Once he emerges first she tells him how proud she is of him.
Harper Finkle
Harper has a big crush on Justin. However, with Baby Cupid's arrow, Max hits Justin accidentally, making him fall in love with Harper to the point where even she found it uncomfortable. Harper and Justin became close in "Justin's New Girlfriend" when Max thinks they are going out. They get stuck in a silent movie, which Alex hates, but in the end Harper and Justin decide to be friends. Harper is known to be very jealous and threaten any of Justin's girlfriends or any girl he likes, especially Juliet.
Sarah
In "Moving On" Sarah flirts with Justin but he is still grieving over his loss of Juliet. In the end of the episode, when he finally moves on, Sarah becomes his new love interest as they go on a picnic which Juliet happily observes.
Rosie
In the episode "Everything's Rosie For Justin" Rosie enters Justin's delinquent class as they near a huge test that Everything's rosie justin
could get Justin and Alex back into the wizard competition. It is revealed that she is a terrible wizard and Alex gets Justin to kick her out of the class, despite the fact that Justin has a large crush on her and doesn't want to hurt her. Rosie comes back and gains Alex's sympathy; Alex does the copy-cat spell so that they can pass the test. It backfires when Alex gets the squirrel-frog on her robes and throws them off, causing Rosie to do the same and reveal she is an angel, not a wizard. She then apologizes to everyone, saying that she had only wished to meet Justin and see what he thought of her as a person. They begin a relationship, but instead of influencing him to do good she does the opposite and he becomes a horrible person. Alex finds out that she's an Angel of Darkness, not a Guardian Angel, and Rosie confirms it to Justin. Justin becomes an Angel of Darkness, breaking his wand, so he can be with Rosie but she wants him to leave before he's killed; he wants to stay for her so they can be together forever, like she had said. Rosie tells Alex that she has fallen in love with Justin. Justin becomes a wizard again and Rosie becomes a Guardian Angel again. Justin says they can't be together anymore because Rosie has to protect the world.

In Wizard of the Year, he came by and congratulated Alex on winning Wizard Of The Year. He gave her a hug. Later at the banquet, he sat with Alex, and when it was starting, he tried to get Alex to let him stay sitting with her by saying, "I'd better return to my table. Way Way Way Over There. Across The Room". So Alex said, "It's fine, just sit down". When she said that, he smiled. Mason Greyback, Alex's boyfriend, got mad when he saw Chase with Alex. He turned into a werewolf and attacked Chase. Alex eventually broke up the fight. Chase told her that he can't stop thinking about her, and that they would be great together. Mason said to Alex, "Well, who is it going to be Alex? Him or me?"Alex said she was choosing neither of them. Because of the fact that Mason didn't trust her when she told him she wasn't secretly dating Chase, and because of the unprovoked fight, she told Mason she thinks they should break. Hugh Normous
Hugh Normous is a wizard. Hugh Normous believed he was a giant and being "rather small for his size," though he later realizes he was adopted by Mr and Mrs. Coco Normous. He befriends Alex and Justin. His adoptive parents bought him smaller objects so he didn't have a low self esteem for being a "small giant." In Hugh's Not Normous he found out he isn't a giant. Although he acted like one in the Wizards of Apartment 13B 4-parter. At the end of Wizards vs. Everything, he and the other monsters move in with the Russo's
AppearanceHugh is taller than Alex but shorter than Justin. He has red hair and brown eyes. His hair is in an afro. He usually wears his WizTech robe and glasses. T.J. Taylor
T.J. Taylor is a young wizard who goes to the same school as Alex,Justin and Max.T.J. is very similar to Alex in that he uses his magic frivolously. However, unlike Alex, whose intentions are never really malicious, T.J. is not above using it to hurt people to get his own way, whether it's adding 30 years onto his ex-girlfriend's life or even brainwashing his parents so he can do whatever he wants without consequence.
Trivia
Trivia
- He is very unpopular at school, and has a habit of responding to others by rephrasing their remarks with the words "I'll show you..." in front of it, which he seems to think is a clever insult. For example, the first time he was seen being picked on at school, the bully insulted him by saying "Hey, the kid's face reminded me -- wanna go get a pizza?" and he responded with "I'll show you a pizza."
- It is not said which of his parents is a wizard or if both were.
- He is in Alex's art class, which was formerly taught by his ex-girlfriend Jenny Majorheely, after he turned her into a middle aged woman out of spite.
- In Disenchanted Evening, he reveals that he has charmed his parents by giving them a noodle kugel with cinnamon in it.
- He told his parents that eating brownies was illegal, since that would discharm his parents.
Felix
Felix is a former student in Justin's delinquent class, and the most seen out of the other students. Felix caught the Captain Jimbob submarine out of Mason's mouth.
He usually leads the delinquents in cheers. He helped Alex and Justin out of a terrible fate. Occasionally, he picks up Justin when they are both leaving somewhere. Felix finds Alex cute. He was the only one to be able to take out the Wand in the Crystal Ball making him the long-lost decendant of the great Rinaldi, and the owner of the world's most powerful wand.
Felix lives on the same 13th floor with Alex and Harper in 'Wizards of Apartment 13B' and loses his wand in 'Get Along, Little Zombie,' where Dexter (which is Gorog the King of Darkness in disguise) comes up the elevator and reveals that he took it, then he convinces Felix to come to the dark side. He later does Gorog's bidding until he was freed. Also it is seen he has a crush on Alex, as he kind of flirts with her.
Felix is portrayed by Frank Pacheco.

max russo
I Promise"―Max[src]
Maximilian Alanzo Ernesto "Max" Russo is a former wizard and the youngest of the Russo trio. Like his brother and sister, he is half Mexican from his mother, Theresa and half Italian-American from his dad, Jerry.
In the series's finale, Alex became the Russo Family Wizard and Justin a full wizard due to becoming the Headmaster of Wiz Tech. As a prize for becoming mortal, Max obtains the Sub Station which he seems very happy about.
Contents [show]
HistoryMax often uses his siblings' situation to his benefit. For example, when Alex used magic to go to the The Crazy Ten Minute Sale, Max used that time to tell his dad, Jerry, that he had broken his wand. Max is shown to have a C+ in Wizard Class which makes him average. He has a few strange habits such as putting marshmallows with aspragus and he uses his mom's dress as a Darth Vader cape. In fact this unusual way of thinking allowed him to outsmart (or as Alex said "out-dumb") a genie into undoing her twisted wishes.
It is unknown if Max has lived in Waverly Place his whole life but it is known that he has Hispanic heritage from his mother's side. His mother often tries to get the kids to learn about their Latino heritage. From his father's side he inherited his wizardry skills. It is likely that he is also half Italian from his father, due to the last name Russo and the fact that Alex has stated that they are only half Latino.
It is revealed that Max likes Chinese food and pineapple in Potion Commotion.
Max is known to play soccer as Justin is seen practicing kissing on Max's soccer ball in the episode First Kiss. He also likes to make strange sandwiches (which is useful, as his parents own a sandwich shop), and he loves to eat them even more.
Max is a witty, cheeky boy, when covering for his sister he manages to get sneakers off of her for it. His shoe size is a size 5. He is quite smart and always tries to "bend situations to his benefit"; when his sister was in trouble he used the opportunity to tell his dad that he broke his wand. He did not get in much trouble as his dad was busy with his sister.
Max has little regard for safety or forethought. When reading up on the conscience spell he deliberately ignored the 'please read' notice that went with it listing the dangers, which resulted in his conscience taking on physical form. He has also shown a dark side to himself that equals or even surpasses Alex. He blatantly told his conscience that when it comes to a choice between right and wrong he prefers wrong. He would rather sabotage his brother in the contest than study, even when Alex chose to study. When Conscience tried to warn him about the dangers of summoning monsters from Justin's hand book Max completely ignored his warnings of mass chaos and danger and did so anyway.
In the Season 2, he starts to "work" for has money with his best friend Alfred. An example is in Smarty Pants, in was he puts water in bottles for sell it; and in Beware Wolf, he cared dogs.
Apparently, he has a crush with Gigi which it can see in Graphic Novel, and has his first date in Alex Does Good.
As the series progressed Max was flanderized to appear less intelligent with each passing season, though he does seem more intelligent than most give him credit for.
Maximan is a superhero that Max played in the episode "Alex's Brother, Maximan." He wore a cape with sharks on it, his underwear, long blue pants, and a yellow long sleeve shirt that with a big M on the front. His dad pretended to be a burglar, and Alex and Justin came to help Max with climbing up a wall outside of the sub station.
PersonalityAt 16, he is the most mischievous, determined to take his magic "to the Max." When he's not dodging homework and vegetables, Max plays practical jokes on his siblings. His first spell was "Comakus Pancakus" to conjure up a stack of pancakes.
It is very hard to tell at times if Max is eccentric, outside the box or just stupid. He takes almost everything said to him literally, often confuses the meaning of words (such as aunt and ant), doesn't seem to understand when he's being insulted even when told he is being insulted, and has been known to do some very idiotic things such as shrinking his own brain just so he can store more jelly beans in his skull. However he has been shown to be an average level student despite his intellectual shortcomings.
AbilitiesOut of the three Max used his powers the least. He was a fun wizard and sometimes uses magic irresponsibly but on the whole, he prefers to cause havoc without magic. He lost his powers and became fully mortal in the series finale due to losing the Family Wizard Competition.
He is quite mischievous and quick to use magic in a situation, like his sister, and it often leads to disaster. However in the end he usually makes things right with his abilities and help from his siblings. It is unknown if Max is capable of using complex magic without an aid such as a wand. So far, the only wandless spells we have seen him use are "Comakus Pancakus" when he was trapped on Mars, "Cambia corporum meum corpara sua niminavi" when he switched bodies with a dance instructor, "soap on a rope, soap off a rope, rope shot out of my hand, rope tie up that man" when he tried to catch a restaurant burglar, and "Literarium Terrarium", though in the movie he used wandless magic several times.
In the episode Potion Commotion, he gets his full powers. He has to wear a horrible looking hat for four days until his powers were in control. In that episode he also uses the spell "Levitatus Liquidatus" to make a can of liquid float. It is also shown in previous episodes that he is behind in learning spells while his siblings are way ahead. For example in Potion Commotion, he is learning wizard training exercise #5 while Justin and Alex are learning lesson #372. He also tries to break set records, like in Pop Me and We Both Go Down, when his dad's trophy pulls off his underwear and runs away with it, Max says he wore those underwear for a long time, possibly a week. In the later episodes he starts to use more magic such as Pound for pound your a clown to use on Justin, which backfired and turned him into a clown), Roomius fixus (turned Alex's room to normal size), and also many more spells in My Tutor, Tutor.
Absolutely no-one, be they family, friends or anyone who knew him at all thought he would be or wanted him to be the family wizard. During Alex and Justins trial Jerry actually used the idea of Max likely becoming the family wizard as a result of their punishment as part of the defense, which Headmaster Crums actually gave some thought to.
Despite being behind her in lessons Max is actually a better magic student than Alex, though only because she puts no effort into her work.
In the episode Three Maxes and a Little Lady, Alex and Justin turn Max into a new girl form, making his/her nameMaxine Russo.
RelationshipsJennette Brocolleti(Kathryn Foley, "Alex Does Good") Max asks her out on a date and tried to impress her. But things didn't go well when Max turned into a clown during the date after trying to turn Justin into one, and made Jennette feel distrubed and replused by him. It's assumed that Jennette never talked to Max ever again, judging by her never appearing in another episode again.
Nancy Lukey(Bella Thorne, "Max's Secret Girlfriend") Nancy was Max'] girlfriend, who he was keeping a secret from the rest of the family and lied to her about who he was and had a lot of things in common. When the family found out, Theresa told Max that it never was okay to lie to people. He took her advice and told Nancy that he and his family are wizards. They try to dislead her by setting up a fake magic carpet ride which Max took her on, and she ends up breaking up with him because she thinks that he kept lying to her to get her to like him.Lisa Cucuy(Samantha Boscarino, "Alex Gives Up") She has a crush on him after seeing him on a magazine for future family wizards, and briefly dates him. However, on her parents' yacht party, she sees Mason and wants him instead, and dumps Max.Talia Robinson(McKaley Miller, Season 4) Talia is Max's most significant relationship. When Max was turned into Maxine, he tried to take advantage of his transformation to convince Talia to date him as Max. For the school play, when the Russos learn that Maxine is going to turn back into Max on stage in front of everyone, Jerry decides to fire the cannon to cover the transformation. Talia is very impressed and so when Max asks her out, she agrees. In "Magic Unmasked", Talia is forcing Max to do things she likes and he doesn't. Theresa is upset by this and tries to get Max out of watching a chick-flick with Talia. Max then later realizes that he truly doesn't have anything in common with Talia when Max says he loves Lucha wrestling, to which Talia responds: "No, you don't Max, it's barbaric." Max breaks up with Talia after telling her he doesn't he doesn't enjoy any of the things she wants him to. Later that day, when Max is at the wrestling match, he sees Talia and tells Max that she is sorry, and says she's having a good time at the wrestling match. As a result, Max and Talia are reunited. In the episode "Alex the Puppetmaster", Talia's parents do not approve of the Russo family. To avoid having an uncomfortable relationship with his girlfriend's family, Max uses a spell so they will meet for the first time again. The families like each other after this second "first" meeting. It is unknown if they are still together or not.Key EpisodesSeason 2

Relationships
- Riley-Alex - Riley seems to love Alex as much as she loves him and he appears to be at Alex's level in most school subjects, such as Spanish.
dean
Peter "Dean" Moriarty is Alex's main love interest in Season 2 who she enters into an relationship with.At first, Harper didn't seem to like him because he had no set bedtime, was a bad boy, roamed the halls of the school without a pass, and sold fake tattoos in the boy's bathroom (one of which Harper later received).
Dean discovered Alex's crush on him when Alex announced it to the school in Graphic Novel. They later went on their second date and skipped their first because Alex believed first dates are 'sappy'. InSaving WizTech, Part 1 Dean kept giving Alex the projects he'd made in wood shop but didn't realize she didn't like them. He later made her a card out of wood that wasn't a project. He referred to her as 'Russo' until this episode. Before he had a chance to give Alex the card, Ronald Longcape Junior used Piggly, Wiggly, get in the Jiggly to lock him up in a block of gelatin and stole his card, which was later discovered by the headmaster of WizTech and therefore, returning it to Alex.
It also shows Alex admitting she is in love with Dean at the end ofSaving WizTech, Part 2. Dean appears to be raised by his uncle, as he says in Racing, "my uncle raised me with manners". He seems to really like Alex, wanting to make a good first impression with her parents, and showering her with gifts. In Alex's Brother, Maximan, Dean mentions about his 'mama' making salad and nachos like Alex did. Dean moved away prior to the events of Dream Date. In Dream Date, Alex appeared in Dean's dreams and is controlling him, Dean comes and does not act the way he did in Alex's dreams and they broke up. Alex went in Dean's dream and Dean revealed he took the break up easily so he would not have his heart broken. Alex also let Dean do whatever he wanted to in his dreams. He seems to think Abe Lincoln is a decent wingman.
He can often be seen hanging around the school with his posse, Joey, and several others, who seem to like talking about how 'ripped' he is.
Dean is often found on the road going by his alter ego Neal Cassady.
He later returns in the Season 4 episode, Journey to the Center of Mason, where he tries to get Alex back and ends up being eaten by Mason. He is very accepting of the excuse they give him about what happened.
In the tv show Lost, Benjamin Linus' fake name is Dean Moriarty

mr laritate
Miss Russo, even though your frozen, I can see you"―Mr. Laritate adressing Alex
Hershel Laritate is the principal of Tribeca Prep Sr. High School, which is shown when he calls Alex into the principal's office. The last name, Laritate, is a pun of Larry Tate from Bewitched. He loves anything related to the Old West and decorated his office in that fashion he also wears a bolo tie, which he is fond of. (Another name for a bolo tie is a Lariete.) Laritate has an on-and-off relationship with Alex—in that he is disappointed in Alex's lack of work ethic and unwillingness to do well in school, but it is evident that he cares about her through his many efforts to reach out to her. The reason he punishes her so severely is because he still believes that she can still turn herself around, unlike other students who he either knows he can't get through to; won't do whatever they did wrong again. He holds a pop quiz every Thursday, however he gives the answers in all the questions except when asking Alex whom he believes should be able to handle harder questions like Justin. The last name, Laritate, is a pun of Larry Tate from Bewitched. He loves anything related to the Old West and decorated his office in that fashion he also wears a bolo tie, which he is fond of. Laritate has an on-and-off relationship with Alex—in that he is disappointed in Alex's lack of work ethic and unwillingness to do well in school, but it is evident that he cares about her through his many efforts to reach out to her. He makes Alex join the Happy Helpers Club and is Alex's art teacher in the episode Art Teacher.

Following losing Alex, he became almost desperate to get her back, trying several times to convince her to.
AbilitiesMason as full wolf.In his first appearance, Mason showed that he could be quite a good artist. He was able to paint and draw rather realistic and detailed pictures.Mason in his mid-transformation as wolf.In werewolf form Mason posses the traditional powers other werewolves have, such as:
When she is introduced to Mason's parents, Grant Greyback and Linda Greyback, Alex prentended to be a werewolf and acted badly during their encounter as she wanted Mason to tell them about who she really is. Her plan didn't work out, though, as Grant and Linda said that she acted like an ideal werewolf would. This disappoints Alex so Mason changes his mind, telling his parents that Alex really is a wizard and not a werewolf. His family was both shocked and disappointed by his revelation and wanted to eat Alex as she destroyed their feast. With that, Mason and Alex make a hasty escape.
During the episode, it was hinted that the Greybacks may be a wealthy family as Mason revealed that their house in Manhattan cost a fortune than other werewolf houses. Despite this, however, Mason is known to have moved out from their house and lived in the thirteenth floor of an apartment and has admitted to Gorog in the episode "Wizard vs Everything" that he was housebroken.

PersonalityMason is described as "Charming" in Wizards Unleashed, and in some episodes he is fairly relaxed. He shows mood changes, as shown in Beast Tamer when he gets suddenly angry when his sculpture doesn't fit through the door. Like most werewolves, he is loyal, impulsive and easily angered. He is extreamly polite, in Wizard of the Yearhe apologises to Harper for stepping in her salad, even in full wolf form.
Mason comes from a wealthy family, as revealed in the aforementioned episode, since he stated that their house in Manhattan cost a fortune.
- Enhanced Sense of Smell: He was able to track scents thousands of miles away (i.e. Juliet, perfumes, sausage, turkeys, his favorite meat, and his bone.)
- Transformation: Unlike the legends in Wizards of Waverly Place, not all werewolves transform during every full moon. However as a purebred, first, his behavior would change, then his eyes would glow and his teeth would form into fangs, his facial structure would morph, then finally his hands and the rest of him.
- Enhanced Strength: He was shown to be incredibly strong, able to jump quite a large distance, and trade blows with a vampire.
- Enhanced Speed, Reflexes and Agility: All demonstrated during his fight with Justin and Juliet. In Ghost Roommate it mentioned that he can "Run faster than a squirrel"
- Enhanced Pain Resistance and Durability: Shown by the fact that during the battle, no matter what hit him, he did not react in any way other than continuing.
- Delayed Aging: Although he looks the same age as Alex, Mason is over three hundred years old. He also showed that like in the legends, he loses control when he turned full wolf.

In Wizards vs. Werewolves he, Justin and Juliet get in a fight and thus he is bitten by Juliet. Because he was bitten he turns into a full wolf and has to let go of Alex for her own safety. Later in Wizards Unleashed Alex sees Mason on TV as a wolf painting pictures of her she, Justin, and Max set out to find him, as she still loves him.
They find he is being held by country wizards and eventually trick the country wizards and geAlex and Mason in the Waverly Sub Station.t back Mason. They eventually turn Mason back and they are now dating. Mason was kidnapped as well in Wizards Exposed and escaped with the Russo Family. Therefore in the episode Alex Gives Up they break up and become close friends. Although Mason and Alex get back together in the episode Journey to the Center of Mason. Mason becomes jealous whenAlex's old boyfriend comes Dean asking Alex he wants to get back together with her. She turns him down saying she is in a relationship with Mason. Mason then reminds her they can't because she is a mortal but she decides to reenter the wizards competition just to be with him.In Wizard of the Year, he and Alex are in the wizard lair watching the news on the abraca-doodler and a news reporter says that she and Chase are together (Earlier in the episode she says that it is official and then says that she is dating Mason right after). Alex explains that they cut off the part when she said she was dating Mason and they did it only for a story. Mason objects and leaves the lair. Alex waits in the Waverly Sub Station, hoping Mason would forgive her and come back. They think he would not come back soon and they go off to the celebration (Alex is awarded for saving the world from the Angels of Darkness and gets back into the Wizard Competition). While they are there, Chase comes to the celebration and joins her family and Harper at the table. Alex accepts him to sit down with them. Suddenly, Mason comes to apologize to Alex but finds her with Chase. He goes full wolf and attacks Chase, which ruins the celebration. Alex stops the fight and Mason and Alex have another fight. Mason then asks Alex who will she choose to be her boyfriend, Mason or Chase? She makes her final decision and chooses neither of them, leaving the guests shocked. She explains to Mason that he might be her boyfriend, but she says she needs to break up with him after what just happened. She explains to Chase that they can not be together either because she thinks they are not ready yet. Alex goes off, gets her trophy, and leaves her celebration.
Alex and Mason working things out in the elevator. At the end of the episode, Mason is seen sitting down on the steps of the stairs around the stage and finds the flower wristband that he gave her on the wizard lair, and smiles. Alex goes out into the balcony of her house and looks at the full moon and hears Mason howling. Alex and Mason reconcile in "Get Along, Little Zombie".
Juliet Van HeusenIt is revealed in Wizards vs. Werewolves that Mason and Juliet dated over 300 years ago. He helps the Russos find her and out of impulse says "I never stopped loving you!" to her though he is in love with Alex. Juliet turns him down because she is in love with Justin. Mason later reveals to Alex that werewolves are loyal and impulsive and that he didn't mean what he said. He and Alex end up getting back together when he tells her he loves her not Juliet.
Lisa CucuyIn Alex Gives Up, Max's picture is seen on a wizard magazine, attracting a spoiled, rich Lisa Cucuy. When Maxinforms her that Mason is a werewolf at her family's yacht party, she ditches him and decides that she wants Mason instead. Lisa flirts with Mason during the episode, but he, however, showed no interest in her.
LucyMason dated Lucy, a ghost and Alex and Harper's roommate in the episode "Ghost Roommate". Lucy was incredibly depressed and haunts the people on the 13th floor at night because of the death of her lost boyfriend sixty years ago. To make her feel better, Harper and Alex try to find her a boyfriend. Unfortunately for Alex, Mason was the boy Lucy picked to go out with. Mason dated Lucy to make Alex jealous. This plan works, seeing as Alex couldn't sleep that night and tried to find Lucy's lost love, Donny, now a ghost in the Bermuda Triangle. Lucy and Alex find Donny but are trapped in the Bermuda Triangle because her powers don't work there. Mason saves her and Lucy comments that he and Alex are 'so in love'. Lucy also says that she find Mason cute and good-looking.
Trivia
- Mason and Juliet have been seen together only in "Wizards Vs. Werewolves on Waverly Place" and "Who Will Be The Family Wizard?"
- Mason's last name, "Greyback" may refer to Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf in the Harry Potter Series.
- His name Mason could be a reference to Mason Lockwood in Vampire Diaries who is also a werewolf.
- Mason is purebred, and only spreads his Lycanthropy by biting unlike Justin's ex-girlfriend, Isabella who was a mutt and could spread it by a kiss.
- Mason and Juliet used to date about 300 year ago, and Juliet is 2194 years old, which could call into question if Mason is the same age (though they could be different as they're different species and could develop at different paces. )
- Mason has explained that werewolves are impulsive (proved by his response to Juliet's return).
- Mason's transformation is interesting as when he transforms to a werewolf he gets a brown fur coat (matching his hair), but when bitten by Juliet and reverted to a wolf, his fur becomes white.
- Jerry Russo kept getting Mason's name wrong, always either Martin or Jason, but when corrected claims that he said Mason.
- Max has seemed to like Mason throughout the drama he and Alex went through, making Max the only Russo who was on good terms with him during the incident.
- Chancellor Rootie Tootietootie appears to have a strong dislike for Mason, as shown in Alex Gives Up and more evident especially in Wizard of the Year, when he says "Don't curse at me Wolfie" after Mason corrects the former about his cooking, cheers for Chase against Mason during the fight, later saying "And down goes wolfie!" after Chase defeats Mason.
- Werewolves can't age which seems contradictive because Mason is a teenager, and must have developed by aging in a sense.
- It is ironic, when Justin lost Juliet, Alex gained Mason, when Justin got Juliet, Alex lost Mason.( Justin also loses Juliet later as she returns to her real age, and Alex gains Mason again after playing the magical instruments in Wizards Unleashed )
- Mason's appearance was planned ahead of time, as future Harper asks Alex about him before his appearance (but she said "Did Mason break up with you already?". However this could refer to the break up that occurred after he became a permanent wolf and it is a possibility that he and Alex will remain together).
- Harper revealed in the season 3 episode Alex Russo, Matchmaker? that Alex's longest relationship was with Mason and that their relationship lasted for two months before the events in Wizards vs Werewolves.
- Mr. Laritate calls him "The Revolutionary War Part Deux". He also calls him "Our Friend from Across The Pond".
- Mason seemed to be quite fond of dogs, especially in Alex Charms a Boy; this could be a reference to his werewolf heritage.
- Mason's parents, Grant and Linda Greyback, don't like him dating anyone other than a werewolf and have been judgemental about their son's other girlfriends.
- Mason comes from a wealthy family as their house in Manhattan was said to have cost a fortune.
- Mason and Alex have broken up several times in the series. They broke up once in Wizards vs. Werewolvesthen they got back together in Wizards Unleashed. Then they break up once again in Alex Gives Up and they reunite in Journey to the Center of Mason. Then they break up in Wizard of the Year. They get back together in Get Along, Little Zombie.
